Iverson , P. and W. Davies, We Are Still Here: American Indians Since 1890.  (Read before institute)

Wade Davies is Professor and Co-chair of Native American Studies at the University of Montana, his fields of study include Navajo health and healing and Native American sports and games.  Dr. Davies' research interests focus on history of American Indian sporting traditions focus on Indian basketball in particular.  In addition to “We Are Still Here”: American Indians Since 1890, co-authored with Peter Iverson, Davies’ books include: Healing Ways: Navajo Health Care in the Twentieth Century (2001) and American Indian Sovereignty and Law: An Annotated Bibliography (2009), co-authored with Richmond L. Clow. Dr. Davies gave a overview lecture on Native American history.
